VERSATILITY
Plasti-flor™ interlocking floor tiles are designed for industrial applications. The tiles can be used to cover an entire floor area or laid in ‘islands’ over existing floor coverings to provide protection for heavy machinery and equipment.
Tried and tested for the last fifteen years Plasti-flor interlocking tiles are used for a wide variety of installations, including warehouses where extremely heavy forklift traffic is prevalent, factories where non-slip surrounds at workstations improve safety, workshops where Plasti-flor tiles improve working conditions and protect tools from damaged if dropped and packing areas where dust control is needed; in fact they are used in any application where a floor covering is required.
Plasti-flor is available in a range of standard colours, available ex stock, while special colours can be custom made to customers’ requirements, provided minimum quantities are needed.
COMFORT AND SAFETY
Plasti-flor™’s interlocking floor tiles non-slip surface provides underfoot comfort and safety for high-traffic areas. The tiles are thick and have good thermal and acoustic properties. Tapered edges prevent tripping and allow vehicles, wheelchairs, prams and trolleys to pass unhindered. Plasti-flor™ tiles are self-extinguishing in the event of a fire, making them the perfect choice for factories, workshops, warehouses and garages.
CONVENIENCE
Because Plasti-flor™ interlocking floor tiles are easy and cost effective to install, many customers choose to lay the floors themselves. However, a full installation service is available from contractors on request. The tiles are generally loose-laid and require no adhesive, allowing the tiled area to be extended or altered at will. A rubber mallet and sharp knife are the only tools required. In warehouses and workshops where forklifts or vehicles under load are turning, the tiles can be glued to improve the integrity of the floor.
DURABILITY
Aesthetically attractive Plasti-flor™ interlocking floor tiles can be used in numerous ways to create a floor that is hard-wearing and long-lasting. The tiles are alkali and oil resistant and easy to clean and maintain. Plasti-flor tiles are manufactured consistent with the specifications for fully flexible vinyl flooring, and being three times as thick, perform extremely well for years. The oldest installations still in use after more than fifteen years.
VARIETY
Plasti-flor™ interlocking floor tiles are available in two different non-slip textures, Medallion and Leathergrain. Medallion tiles are made in exposed interlock and hidden interlock.
DEMARCATION TILES
Demarcation tiles are used primarily to distinguish and separate various floor areas in factories, warehouses and the like. The use of distinctive floor tiles around heavy machinery, separated from walkways by a line of demarcation tiles, increases staff awareness and enhances safety.
